Christopher Reid is the queer Scottish designer who’s clothes inject a sense of sex, horror and femininity into your wardrobe. 

 

Often inspired by gothic horror movies of decades past, anachronistic fantasy and Courtney Love, Reid imbues these with their Scottish hometown’s folklore to encourage the wearer to become both the nightgown-clad siren and axe wielding murderess of their own world.

 

With a ribbon trimmed body of references which act as the foundation of their warped feminine fantasy, Reid’s work advocates for the reclamation of materials; everything from vintage lace to doll clothes, creating pieces that remain treasured for their unique details and to be held dear in this life and the next.
